The third piece of Pitsilkas hand-made luxury furniture collection is an umbrella stand, made of luxury woods, (teak Burma & wenge), which are widely used in yachts’ interiors. It is solid wood (not veneered wood) something which is obvious if you just have a look inside. 224 wood slats were premium cut, thus flush joints became distinctive marks characterizing the umbrella stand and speaking volumes about the highest level of craftsmanship that is hidden in it.

From a technical perspective, the level of its construction difficulty is more than high because, as the length of the umbrella stand is increased, so do the requirements for precise mathematical calculations and a distinct knack that one can hardly see nowadays.
